Stayed over at Meow Lover's house the day before departure because we need to get to the KTM station at Butterworth early in the morning but the Penang bridge was going to be closed the next day due to Penang Bridge Marathon 2016. Went to Design Village with my family before going to Meow Lover's house and reached her house a lot later than planned because we had our dinner at Wendy's and the queue was crazy!

Woke up around 5am. Got ready - applied Laneige BB cushion (courtesy of Meow Lover) and changed into a black tank top that I got from a junk sale and a ragged army green trousers at I got from Forever 21 at a really good bargain. After breakfast, her mum fetched us to the KTM station where we assemble with another two - the Bombshell and Wei. It was a first time experience for all of us to travel by using ETS and we were all so excited! I was wide awake for the first few minutes on the ETS, looking out the window and soaking in all the really beautiful scenery and still feeling so surreal to actually travel with friends for the first time. After all those ohhs and ahhs, I practically slept through the WHOLE journey, somehow managing even not going to the loo during the five hours on the ETS. It was only when we were near the KL Sentral that I finally woke up and somehow managed to drag myself and the luggage out of the ETS.
Once we were out of the ETS, I am totally blown away by how KL Sentral looks so much like the interior of an airport! It's so full of life with people travelling from one destination to another. We asked the receptionist how can we get to Nu Sentral (it's attached to KL Sentral actually) and were escalated to the entrance using a flight of escalator! (yay?) I went frantic for a moment there because all the shops were so pretty and festive that I wanted to cry out of happiness.
We strolled around in the mall for awhile and had lunch at Sushi Tei before catching KTM to the KL station, which is the next station after KL Sentral.

After we reached the KL station, we called for an Uber that fetched us to our hotel. The hotel that we booked was Pacific Express Hotel. We booked one superior room as there was a 30% off promotion on Trivago when we were searching for hotels. Price: RM54 per person for 2 nights. Besides the reasonable price, we chose this hotel because it was just within walking distance to Petaling Street and Central Market and also, they have a freaking open air pool at the top of the building.
We chilled in the room for awhile, then went up to check out the pool for a bit, came down to change into our swimming suits and then went up again to the pool for a cool dip. Bombshell swam like a fish (so natural) while Wei and I are just doing silly moves in the pool yayy HAHAHA

Later, we got back to our room to bathe and get ready for dinner, and that was when something disastorous happened to me. My hair were all tangled together and it was soo gross. I swear it wasn't because I didn't comb my hair (secret revealed, I don't comb my hair all the time). It was all wet and sticky (it sounds wrongg but this is exactly how my hair felt). I asked around if their hair is somehow in a situation like mine. Bombshell said that it was normal because I didn't wear a swimming cap and the chlorine in the pool water could be jinxing with my hair. Anyway, moving on from that note, we got our make up done and by the time we got ready for dinner, the weather was bad. We walked to Petaling Street and it started to drizzle when we reached. We hurried to a stall and three of us order chicken rice (RM9) while Wei ordered Wanton noodles (RM10).

True friend holds an umbrella for you on rainy days like this when you are so engrossed in photography that you don't even care if you are drenched anymore. Thanks Bombshell!

The next day, we woke up later than we initially planned. Felt terrible because my whole body was aching. I asked around and Bombshell said hers ached too. So I thought it must have been all the weird-moves, extending my limbs in the pool and all that. For day 2, I wore a long sleeves black top that I got from VS Outlet and paired it with an A-line skirt with buttons that I got from H&M. I was really hyped about Bombshell's outfit and makeup as she opted for a bad girl look. I love Meow Lover's and Wei's outfit and makeup as much as I do with Bombshell's, but I felt the most exciting when doing Bombshell's makeup. It's like channelling her inner alter ego out through the outfit pairing, accessories and make up. I have to say that all of them looked absolutely stunning on Day 2.

I LOVEEE helping others to do their make up. It's just like finding a customized gift for each of your friends. Look at that winged eyeliner though :o Bombshell looked so "heong" HAHA

We hopped on an Uber to Tous Les Jours for free because we entered the promo code and by the time we got there, we only had to pay 45 cents or smtg and the driver was so kind that he didn't even charge us a penny. The breakfast/brunch at Tous Les Jours was AMAZING. We were all stunned by its interior design and decorations, not to mention also the reasonable price and the array of breads we can choose from!

We walked to Pavilion after the breakfast/brunch. It was literally a stone's throw distance. The Christmas decorations at Pavilion is absolutely breathtaking - so grand! And also, can we take a moment to talk about the merry-go-round sponsored by Swarovski? *holds breath, eyes widen, mouth forms an O shape* Basically, we just walked around Pavilion and window shopped (we have tonnes and tonnes of money and we can splurge on designer bags and clothes and all those brands that YouTubers raved about, says no one ever)
|
|
I think that the only shop that possibly has the most reasonable price in the whole Pavilion is Miira Mew, located in Tokyo Street. So if you guys ever go to Pavilion, you might wanna check out Miira Mew. They have some really lovely clothes at affordable price!

Had lunch at Pavilion's food court. This whole set is just for a freaking RM10++ It's a Herbal Soup stall. If you guys are planning a budget trip, also remember to check this stall out. They taste good and authentic!

Had high tea at Ben's because they had a promotion. We ordered their promotional set - chocolate cake (couldn't remember the exact name) served with hot lemon tea with syrup. The chocolate cake is really good as it is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Just OMG! As for the lemon tea, I'm not a fan of English Tea so..

Around dinner time, we went to Sephora at Starhill Gallery. It was my first time going to Starhill Gallery and I find that the structure of that building is soo cool! Loved the mini elevator there as well (it only fits about four people?) HAHA so cute! Had a stroll at Farenheit88 later, no surprise. Went to Shoopen (thanks for recommending Stephie!). Bought Japanese instant noodles for late dinner. Meow Lover also bought herself a box of Beryl's Tiramisu chocolate.
|
|
First time trying Gelato. Tried the mango and mint+choco flavour. I have to say that it's not worth the price. We paid a freaking RM22 smtg for this.

After being stuck in the jam for about half an hour or so, we finally got back to our hotel and wind down. Had a really fun night directing and filming the whole process from cooking (well, technically it's not even cooking) the noodles to eating them and reacting to the taste of it and to when we dump it into the bin on Snapchat. Watched a really weird movie on HBO with zombies and vampires and mosters in it and fell asleep around 1am++.
Surprisingly, I was the first one who woke up! Yayyy this is so rare that I'm thinking of presenting myself with a prize (lame) So we got ready, applied minimal make up on our faces, checked out around 10:30am and headed to Cheras to meet our really sweet and cheerful coursemate - Gold Fish. When we reached there, we were so delighted as she and her family has prepared a FEAST for us! All the snacks were very delicious and we were absolutely spoiled. Thank you Gold Fish and family!
After having a luxurious breakfast at Gold Fish's and talked for a bit, Gold Fish's mum fetched us to Times Square. Had a really good time shopping there. The clothes were superrrr affordable. We kind of regretted spending Day 2 at Pavilion because there was really not much that we could buy and the day was kinda wasted. Our shopping ended hastily as we needed to catch our KTM in time around 5pm to Seremban where we continue the second part of our trip.
|
|
Btw, Gold Fish is not posing, she is REALLY having a conversation through the phone with her mum HAH
|
|
|
Whilst waiting for our KTM to Seremban, we had a selfie with our token.
|
ps: As for my body ache and hair, they got worst day after day. My fingers were swollen and my legs were so painful I couldn't even bend my knees. Luckily they got better after a few day's stay at Seremban. All good for now. As for my hair? They never got any better during the trip, only worst (jeez.. should probably start using a comb now)
That's all for this post. Hope you enjoyed reading. Thank you!
