Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in Penang!

This has got me excited for a week or more before it is finally here! Let's give a round of applause for the one and only book sale (probably in the whole universe) that sells books at such a downright cheap and affordable price *claps* *claps* Besides, there was an education & career exhibition at Chung Ling today for SPM leavers or Form 6 students to inquire information on furthering their tertiary students in private colleges or university.

I am not going into the details of what I have asked around because it is blatantly obvious that "Big Bad Wolf book sale" is the highlight of this post. But if you guys are wondering about what course am I interested in or the rough idea of the whole pursuing tertiary education stuff and what am I thinking towards my tertiary studies, I would have you guys updated on that in another post soon. So make sure y'all hang around in my blog. Haha..

Therefore, I shall spare you guys from the redundant details and move on to Big Bad Wolf book sales instead. Summary of the day - I took a bus with Chee Ching, Yee Hang and Sze Chyi and went to Chung Ling educational fair in the morning. After having our lunch at Chung Ling, we took another bus and went to Times Square for the biggest event / book fair of all - Big Bad Wolf Book Sale.

We took a picture and sent to Cheng Yang when we spotted him driving Palma's van at Farlim and stopped just beside the bus we were on board of
I really wanted to get my hands on Have A Little Faith by Mitch Albom which is inclusive of his signature!! But oh gawwwddd.. I missed the chance of getting it because it was around one when I reached there and apparently all the 120 copies were all SOLD OUT! What a book feast (more like book-nabbing feast xD)

We spent most of our afternoon trying to swim through the piles of books and locating the ones that we wanted was near to mission impossible. All the prices made us dropped our jaws as they were seemingly awesomely unbelievable. I ended up getting more books than I have initially planned to because of the variety of book offered and of course the most important factor of all - THE CRAZILY LOW PRICES!

Speaking of the overall situation at the book sale, there were of course so many people at book sale and we were inching through the crowds like packed sardines. There was one particular scenario that I find it quite bizarre but still, I wasn't sure if I wanted to share it with you guys. Well.. the thing is that.. everybody is trying to get a copy of the Fifty Shades series! That was rather weird I suppose.. because this book is about hardcore and SM and basically everything that's gonna make us puke. From what I've known, the books are a failed piece of writing because the author used words like "Holy Cow!" and some funny words such as "popsicle" at inappropriate sentences. Nonetheless, I have no further comments on this book or the people who wanted to buy it because most of my friends do read them and frankly speaking, I wouldn't mind getting a copy of it either so.. TEEHEE .__.

The books that I've bought! #YAYI'MSOHAPPYANDHIGH
Some of the books were picked randomly based on the author and the book's title while I have been craving to buy the others for quite some time. I was so glad that I found these at the Big Bad Wolf book sales!

TOP THREE BOOKS THAT I WANTED TO HAVE THE MOST:
1. The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom

"The Five People You Meet in Heaven is a decent piece of literature. It's well-written, has a handful of good quotes, and is overall an inspiring and personal take on one's idea of the moment between death and the afterlife"
(Gunne's Review @ Goodreads)

2. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

"This book is about the people in my life and yours whose very essence is pinned down to a spot in time and space--these lovely bones, growing in a soft-shelled skeleton around our lives."
(Amanda's Review @ Goodreads)

3. The End of The World As We Know It by Iva-Marie Palmer

"As a fan of Breakfast Club and other rad 80's movies, I got sucked right in to The End of the World As We Know It. Witty dialogue, great characters and those aliens keep the adventure coming. A seriously fun read."
(Elena Perez's Review @ Goodreads)
After queuing up to make our payments for what seemed like an hour, we walked to First Avenue, and yes, with all those heavy books being carried in our arms under the scorching sun. We needed a place for us to catch our breathe, so we went to Red Box for our first time in our lives and please allow me to shout out "Holy Cow!"

We had a pretty thrilling afternoon there as we got to sing aloud our favourite songs and didn't have to hold back any emotions at all. It was definitely the perfect way for us get a break from our claustrophobic lives even just for a few hours.

That's all from me. Till next time chaps! Ta.
